ClosedLess as in less closed, not always open

Hi 👋 my name is Ethan, aka. TheOnePath

I'm a computer scientist who is currently figuring out how I want to take my open-source development career.

In late 2021, I came up with the name 'ClosedLess', with my friend Rob and made it a thing. The name came about like such: "closedless", meaning like, software which is less closed-source meaning it's open...but that still goes along the lines of suckless. I have a way with naming conventions that are akin to typical "Linux"-styled names for software/projects, and naturally I used that to create a portmanteau for the name, along with slogan: 'as in less closed, not always open'. It's to capture the idea that the use of closed-source software is up to the user at the end of the day, and to not make them feel guilty about doing so, whilst ensuring that developers take on-board the concepts of open-source.

Welcome to my userspace on the CloseLess website! You might realise that my userspace is basically the same as the main site, and you'd be realising correctly. The website was designed and developed by yours truly to incorporate the simplicity of suckless.org, without the need to have bloated features which ultimately affect end-users with slow network connections.
Feel free to explore around, it's not my bedroom so don't be concerned with having a snoop. From here (or at any point), you can access any areas of my userspace with the menu on the left-hand side. Optionally, if you want to get to a (sub)domain quickly, you can use the top navigation bar to help. I have blogs you can read over and access straight to my Gitea profile.

Well that's it for introductions. And as I like to say, ta-ta for now!
